 Ascot Racecourse’s redevelopment programme, the largest of its type anywhere in Europe, means that the new Grandstand will be second to none. Ascot Racecourse is proud to welcome you to the world’s most famous racecourse to celebrate a new chapter at this historic racing venue.
The focal point of the redevelopment is undoubtedly the new Grandstand itself. The distinctive design is defined by the spectacular parasol roof suspended on ‘structural trees’. The stand is flooded with natural light, using glass and aluminium materials, bringing the outside in as you walk through the impressive galleria.
The elements of speed and ease of access were very much in the minds of the architects when designing the new Grandstand. There are 22 sets of escalators positioned to take racegoers direct from the Concourse to higher levels, without having to stop at each floor. This means racegoers can travel quickly from their chosen restaurant to the Parade Ring or the viewing lawns.
