A ninety minute walk round the streets of Windsor looking at how the town has been
influenced by the presence of the Sovereign in the Castle from Norman times.
The prosperity of the town has been directly linked to the fortunes of the Castle from the tradesmen who supplied the fruit and veg and received the Royal warrant, the people who lived in the town and worked in the Castle and, of course, the strong military presence with its proliferation of public (and other) houses.Walk led by Hilary Thompson.
