Ancestral Voices - Moray Watson as James Lees-Milne

"The finest, frankest and funniest diarist of the 20th century

Sunday 21st September, 8pm (Reception 6:15pm) - Cumberland Lodge, Windsor Great Park

Devised by Hugh Massingberd

"A brilliant staging by Hugh Massingberd of the diaries of James Lees-Milne, as played with a wondrous mixture of wit and waspishness by Moray Watson…This is an epitaph for an era and deserves a long stage life." Sheridan Morley, International Herald Tribune

You are invited to join the Principal for a glass of champagne and to hear about Cumberland Lodge and the times that James Lees-Milne stayed there. After a tour of the Lodge supper will be served in The Princess Christian’s Dining Room. The evening performance will begin at 8.00pm following coffee.

Guests are welcome to attend the performance only. The bar will be open from 7.30pm.

The Festival is grateful to the Principal of Cumberland Lodge for the opportunity to present a special evening around "Ancestral Voices" which has been so successful at the Jermyn Street Theatre and on its tour of country houses.
