The original Ukulele Orchestra, the oldest and best, celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2010. Following last year’s sell-out at the BBC Proms, we are delighted to welcome the group that has sixteenhandedly turned the world on to the ukulele and its entertainment possibilities. From Tchaikovsky to Nirvana via Otis Reading and Spaghetti Western soundtracks, the Orchestra takes us on “a world tour with only hand luggage” and gives the listener “One Plucking Thing After Another”. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll never think about music, humour or entertainment in the same way once you’ve seen and heard the Ukulele Orchestra.
