Freddy Kempf

Freddy Kempf is one of today’s most successful young artists performing to sell-out audiences all over the world. Kempf came to national prominence in 1992 when he won the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition and was voted Best Young Classical Performer at the Classical Brit Awards in 2001. He records exclusively for BIS Records, for whom he has recorded many recital discs. His latest release, his first orchestral disc, Prokofiev Piano Concertos 1 & 2, and Sonata no.2 was recorded with the Bergen Philharmonic.
